Our family history
The Gasparri family has been producing wine since 1930, the year in which the first terrain with a small vineyard was purchased. This beginning of the family´s venture into winemaking is recorded in a notarial contract in which our great-grandfather´s name Pietro appears, when he bought the Macinatico farm in the San Gimignano municipality. In 1965, Giuseppe and Romanello decided to specialise in the production of wine and olive oil. They acquired today´s winery and planted many more vineyards on the land. Between 1988 and the early 2000s, our wine production more than doubled with the purchase of new vineyards and Fattoria dell’Agresto in 1997. Today our estate stretches over 320 hectares on the Florentine Chianti hills, between the municipalities of Certaldo, Gambassi Terme and Murlo.
